Kafkaesque support connections using various protocols (for example: native Pulsar, WebSockets). Each protocol has a specific port to connect to and a URL specification. You can find the correct connect URL for your service on the dashboard.
All client connections to are encrypted (TLS) and require authentication. We use publicly signed certificates (Let’s Encrypt) so there should be no need to update your trust store for TLS. However, we do provide the root CA certificate for convenience.
We also provide a number of interactive code samples using a variety of programming languages (example: Java, Python) and connection types (for example: native Pulsar, WebSocket).
For quick testing of connections and topics, the dashboard lets you create one or more test clients that connect directly to your Kafkaesque service using WebSockets.
